Follow the simple system below for every casualty and it's easy to Save a Life.

 

Danger                                      Always check for danger to YOURSELF and THEN THE CASUALTY!

Response                       Check for a response by gently shaking the casualty and saying 'Can you hear me? If you can hear me open your eyes.    

Airway                  Check the airway and if clear, open the airway using head tilt and chin lift.

Breathing                   Check for breathing for about 10 seconds, looking for the rise and fall of the chest, breath sounds and feel for breaths on your cheek!
