Feedback from Management after Children in Need Rocks Manchester
From James Allen and myself, thank you all for a fantastic job on the Children in Need event last night.
This venue has seen some amazing nights – and will do again – but was there ever anything which touched so many people, and did so much good as this ? I don't think so. The Manchester Evening News has called it ' an historic night ' and the arena looked magnificent on prime time television.
Operationally our staff were brilliant. The event involved all departments , from Ticketing to Marketing to F&B , Events (and the rest) … all produced a faultless display in the glare of the national spotlight and an extremely demanding client. Anywhere else this show would have had the luxury of a 3-4 day build. We did it in 1 to avoid disruption to our busy 'bread and butter' event schedule. The feedback from the likes of the BBC, Chris Moyles, CIN, SJM Concert and the production team have been very complimentary, and we certainly justified the faith of Gary Barlow in bringing the show out of London.
Your efforts can be summed up in this quote from the SJM promoter representative ….
" I don't think the New York Yankees have to deal with as many curve balls as we threw your way for this event. All of the arena staff excelled and gave beyond 100% to ensure this event went as well as it did."
We should all be proud to have been part of it. Well done.
John and James
